ASK12 - Purpose

ASK12 Purpose ASK12 Vision The Assessment System for K-12 Educational Interpreters (ASK12) views skill standards for K-12 educational interpreters as it primary purpose. These standards are designed to better provide access to education for deaf and hard of hearing students who use interpreters in school. In addition, diagnostic results from evaluation of skills give member states the tools to provide research-based skill training/education for improvement. ASK12 Mission The Assessment System for K-12 Educational Interpreters is a multi-state community of practice whose mission is to provide valid and reliable evaluation of K-12 educational interpreters who serve deaf and hard of hearing students in educational environments throughout the member states.
