Part B (Ages 3-21) Michigan Department of Special Education The Michigan Department of Special Education website provides information for educators about assessment and accommodations for students with disabilities, professional organizations, upcoming special education-related events, what’s new in special education, and opportunities for professional development. Visitors may also sign up for a listserv which provides the opportunity to network with educators who are teaching students with disabilities. Part C (Ages Birth-2) Early On Michigan The Early On Michigan website contains a wealth of information for parents, providers, and professionals working with young children with disabilities or special needs. Resources found on this site include information about parenting, child growth and development, health and safety, disabilities and disorders, and early childhood education programs. There are also links to a variety of Early On services, publications, and contact information for local Early On coordinators. Parent Center Citizen’s Alliance to Uphold Special Education (CAUSE) Citizens Alliance To Uphold Special Education (CAUSE) is Michigan’s Parent Training and Information Center. CAUSE is a statewide non-profit coalition providing free information, referral, support, advocacy, and workshops to parents and professionals working with children with disabilities and special needs.
