Mainely Parents Mainely Parents is a Statewide Day One prevention program with National affiliation to Circle of Parents. Mainely Parents serves over 4000 families per year through FREE mutual support groups, newsletters, education classes, advocacy and a statewide toll-free Talkline for parents under stress. Mainely Parents offers training to parent educators and facilitators throughout the state. Our goal is to increase parent awareness around issues of substance abuse, child abuse and child neglect, in order to strengthen Maine families.

Southern Maine Parent Awareness Southern Maine Parent Awareness helps families expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of their children and young adults with disabilities. We enhance parents' understanding of special education and their child’s needs through information about special education and disabilities, referrals to community resources, individualized telephone and email consultation, individualized family conferences, parent-to-parent connections, and workshops on topics of special interest. All family services are free.

Active in issues involving the elimination of attitudinal and environmental barriers, the Society's Board of Directors and staff are committed to increasing the public's awareness of the special talents, needs and abilities of Maine people with disabilities.
VSA Arts of Maine VSA arts of Maine is a non-profit organization that provides educational arts opportunities by, with and for people with disabilities and at risk. Founded over twenty years ago by Jean Kennedy Smith as an affiliate of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, VSA offers programs in music, dance, writing, and the visual arts. VSA arts of Maine demonstrates that the arts are integral to the creation of meaningful learning experiences and fulfilling lives.
