August, 2007 “Working Smarter Not Harder” through the use of technology was the theme for a workshop conducted by the WRRC during the Region 6 Parent Training and Information Centers annual conference in San Diego. The benefits of collaboration, as well as effective techniques and strategies to support sharing and joint development of training materials and other resources were shared by a panel including Suzanne Ripley (NICHCY) and Sharman Davis Barrett (PACER) and PTI staff.  Participant discussion also addressed creative dissemination strategies and ways to reach the “hard to reach” families. Effective General Supervision Systems, Part C WRRC/NCSEAM Regional Meeting, Portland, OR
The purpose of the meeting was to provide in-depth information on the critical elements of an effective general supervision system and how focused monitoring approaches may enhance such systems. This event also provided an opportunity to explore state’s general supervision systems and identify areas that may need improvement -- to ensure results for children and families as well as address compliance requirements.

October, 2006 A half-day networking opportunity for staff of the Northwest Comprehensive Center at the TACS/WRRC offices. Program overview as well as specific information regarding mission/purpose and work scope of the respective organizations was exchanged.

February, 2006 The one and a half day Leveraging Resources symposium brought together state-level representatives from general education and special education to learn about Responsiveness to Intervention (RTI) and to discuss its implications for policy and practice. Presentation materials include notes from breakout sessions as well as other materials.
