Special Areas: Transition, Cultural and Linguistic Diversity, School-to-Work, Family/School Collaboration, Bilingual Education, Bilingual Spanish/English
This workgroup helps the northeast states' Secondary Transition personnel meet the transition services requirements of IDEA. Specifically, this workgroup:
provides opportunities for states to share expertise and strategies to address both the mandate and intent of IDEA transition requirements;
provides a forum for discussion and problem-solving of challenges facing states in the development and implementation of the IDEA 2004 secondary transition requirements; and
encourages cooperation and collaboration among members of the workgroup and other individuals and organizations with expertise in transition issues.
