Content
The meetings are designed to support States in their implementation of the Part B Final Regulations.  Topics for each meeting will include:
·    Discipline
·    IEPs, IEP Meetings, Evaluations and Re-evaluations
·    Private School Children
·    Highly Qualified Teachers
·    Procedural Safeguards (Due Process Procedures, Procedural Safeguards Notice)
·    Monitoring, Monitoring Activities (Technical Assistance and Enforcement)
·    National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS)
·    Response to Intervention for the Identification of Specific Learning Disabilities, Early Intervening Services

Details for Regional Implementation Meetings
·    State teams, composed of PTI and SEA representation, are encouraged.  When determining team membership, consider the PTI and SEA representation needed to adequately cover the eight content areas.
·    Although participants are encouraged to register for the meeting scheduled within their region, participants may register for any one of the three scheduled meetings.
·    Meetings will accommodate approximately 300 participants; there is no registration fee; and interested individuals, other than those on State teams, may attend as space permits.
·    Meetings will be two full days in length, with daily time devoted for State team planning.
