COMPREHENSIVE CENTER The CCs provide assistance to low-performing schools and districts to help close achievement gaps and meet goals of NCLB. The Centers provide technical assistance to states to benefit school districts and schools, especially those in need of improvement. Includes 15 regional centers and 5 content centers.
REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL LABORATORY The REL Program consists of a network of ten laboratories that serve the educational needs of a designated region by providing access to high quality scientifically valid education research through applied research and development projects, studies, and other related technical assistance activities.
EQUITY ASSISTANCE CENTER The EACs provide assistance in the areas of race, gender, and national origin equity to public school districts to promote equal educational opportunities. The Mission of the EACs is to assist schools and school districts in meeting performance standards while ensuring equal opportunity for all students.
The purpose of the NC State Improvement Project is to establish and implement, in alignment with the comprehensive system of personnel development, program support services to significantly improve the performance and success of students with disabilities in North Carolina.
