Our workgroups give state agency staff a forum to discuss current issues, share promising practices, and exchange information of relevance to the education of children with disabilities and the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). NERRC workgroups comprise representatives from the state departments of education and lead agencies for Part C in each of our eight states.
We have found that, given the breadth and complexity of the issues states currently face, state agency staff welcome the opportunity to talk with each other about what they do and to work together on common issues.
