General Information about TAcommunities
TAcommunities.org is part of OSEP's Technical Assistance initiative to exchange strategies and ideas that will improve outcomes for children with disabilities. This project seeks to combine OSEP resources from the Monitoring and State Improvement Planning Division and technical assistance resources from the Research to Practice Division.

TA&D Network

Website links, email, phone numbers, and addresses.  By scrolling through this list you will find full contact information for OSEP's TA&D Network.

The TA&D Network provides technical assistance and disseminates information that supports states and local entities in building capacity to improve early intervention, education, transitional services, and results for children with disabilities and their families. It also supports efforts to identify and overcome systemic barriers to improving these services.

State Performance Plan (SPP) Resource Guide

The SPP Resource Guide features TA&D resources which are aligned with SPP monitoring indicator areas. There are many federally supported TA&D resources that produce materials and provide technical assistance around topics aligned with SPP indicator areas. The LRE Part B Facilitators developed this resource to help state personnel implement strategies to address SPP indicator areas.

More than a Website
Tacommunities.org is a multi-functional software tool. As a member, this platform will enable you to find colleagues who share interests (member profiles), participate in discussions, and share strategies, resources, and ideas (post content). These interactive features are what makes tacommunities.org a community - rather than a passive website, although they may make the site appear more complex. We encourage you to use the member manuals, ask questions, and use the various functions that this software affords. This is an innovative platform - and an innovative way to think about learning and sharing. We invite you to join TACommunities to learn and share with others in the field of special education and children with disabilities.

About this Community
This community is being formed to provide a forum for those who are actively interested and involved in issues of data collection, analysis and use in support of improved services and outcomes for infants, toddlers and students with disabilities, and their families. We invite you to share your thoughts, resources, information on events, etc., and any other items you believe might contribute to this community and to common solutions to shared data issues.

As part of our DATA Community, online discussions will connect users across the country with each other and with expert resources. Our community provides members the opportunity to hold these discussions via our threaded discussion feature. Your community facilitators, representing several TA centers and data related projects, will monitor sessions and contribute their expertise, and agency resources, as appropriate.

Our goal is to form and support a community where interested individuals can come together to address issues of common interest and need regarding data collection, analysis and use in support of Part B and/or Part C programs. We invite you to join our community and to visit our ‘What’s New’, ‘Discussion’, and ‘Library’ features regularly to learn more as we form this community and its activities. Your input is most welcome!
