The National Center for Culturally Responsive Educational Systems (NCCRESt) has agreed to facilitate a webinar session for our region that is designed to:

· Address the challenges in providing adequate training opportunities and follow-up training/TA supports to localities

· Address the difficulty in designing a review of the policies, procedures and practices to assure that no inherent bias support the identification of students with behavior issues and/or placement decisions

· Review monitoring tools that you have/expect to adopt and

· Address improvement strategies to address these issues

NCCREST has asked that you send to them, not for region wide dissemination, any materials that your state is designing. They will review these documents and use them to base discussion questions upon. These documents need to be forwarded to Elizabeth Kozleski at Elizabeth.Kozleski@asu.edu by Tuesday, Nov.6th.
