NRCLD engages in research designed to help the learning disabilities field understand policies, practices, and prevalence of LD identification as well as to identify best practices for its components. The site is a rich resource for conference presentation materials and research papers.
This NRCLD report summarizes interviews with school personnel and parents at sites that have implemented RtI models. Topics include improved instruction, reduced inappropriate identification of SLD, professional development, administrative involvement, establishing RtI practices, and advice to schools interested in RtI.
SLD Determination and Responsiveness to Intervention
NRCLD has undertaken a number of activities investigating responsiveness-to-intervention as a component of SLD assessment and determination procedures.
